    Nearly Complete!

    March 21st, 2009

The little book featured in this picture has been the reason there haven’t been too many posts lately. Here you see assistant editor AJ Niehaus poring over Super Fantastica Comix 2009 looking for any screw-ups.

This book will premiere at the Small Press and Alternative Comics Expo (S.P.A.C.E.) in Columbus, Ohio on April 18th - 19th. It was also scheduled for another premiere at the MCBA Microcon in St. Paul, Minnesota on April 26th, but the official invite hasn’t arrived in the mail yet, so I’m a little nervous about that convention.

If you aren’t able to make either of those shows, it will be available through the bewilderedkid dot com online store, at any comic shop that is kind enough to carry it, and at the Twin Cities Zinefest July 11th - 12th.

Well, a science fair is generally a competition where contestants present their science project results in the form of a report, display board, and models that they have created. A science fair allow students in grade schools and high schools to compete in science and/or technology activities. Now, take your own spin on it!

Its duel debut will take place at SPACE (Small Press and Comix Expo), which takes place in Columbus, OH from April 18 & 19, 2009 at the Aladdin Shrine Center and MCBA Microcon on Sunday, April 26th, 2009 at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds.

KFAI: “The Cartoonists” on The Wave Project

    December 14th, 2008

SFC alums Steve Stwalley and Danno Klonowski along with friends Zander Cannon and Kevin Cannon were featured in an interview this weekend on KFAI radio here in the Twin Cities. You can download the archived MP3 stream here.

They discussed comics history, the current state of the artform, the Cartoonist Conspiracy, their own projects, and even gave “shout-outs” to some other artists and their projects. Super Fantastica was also mentioned, TWICE, during the interview! Thanks a lot for mentioning it guys! Also, thanks to all of those that have contributed in the past and future issues!

Super Fantastica Comix: Summer/Fall 2008 Released!

The much anticipated and newest edition of Super Fantastica Comix was released at the MCBA FallCon 2008 last weekend! This edition includes 24 pages of stories, printed in black and white, along with two pages of artist biographies.

As you can see for only three dollars you get a beautifully illustrated cover by the incomparable Steve Stwalley! Creators include: Amado Rodriguez, Ben Z, Bob Lipski, Brian Bastian, Bud Burgy, Daniel J. Olson, Danno Klonowski, Ray N., Ryan Dow, Steven Stwalley, Vanesa Littlecrow

This printing is limited to 50 copies and will hit comic shops so gracious to carry it soon! More info on where to find it will follow later. In the meantime, enjoy some pictures from the book!
